The school is full in almost all year groups and often oversubscribed. The number of pupils with identified learning disabilities has risen over recent school years. At Bleak Hill the proportion of children at SEN Support has risen to 11.3%. Five children have an EHCP.

We currently have 17 classes. There are three classes in Reception (3x30), Year 1 (3x25) and Year 4 (3x30) and two (x30) in all other Year Groups.

We are an inclusive school and have made considerable progress in developing our school aims which are reviewed annually. They direct us so that in our school we feel valued, secure and are given respect and we have the opportunity to experience success. Bleak Hill has a wide range of extra - curricular activities in across the school.

The staff work as a team, they communicate well with other colleagues and stakeholders.

Governors play an active role in the life of the school and carry out their duties effectively. They bring a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the school. Members of the knowledgeable Governing Body regularly attend training linked to school priorities. This enables them to provide appropriate levels of support and challenge.
