What skills and experience we're looking for

Oaklands is an Outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. Oaklands has both a Primary school (New Oaks) located in Isleworth and a Secondary school (High Oaks) on our main Gresham Road site in Hounslow. We cater for students aged from 4 to 19.

Oaklands school is located in a purpose built school building (close to Osterley tube station and other public transport links) that offers state of the art facilities for our students

Due to the promotion of the previous post holder we are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head Teacher to join our friendly team and lead our Sensory and complex needs Department. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience of teaching students with PMLD and those working on engagement levels within in a special school or supported learning environment coupled with middle leadership or leadership experience gained from working in a special education environment. We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief.
