Thank you for your interest in the post of Assistant Head teacher and Inclusion lead at Grove Primary School and Nursery. The team here is very proud of our school and we strive to be ‘bringing out the best in everyone’ at all times. At the heart of our practice is our focus on our 4 core values; ambition, learn, pride and respect. The school is situated in the beautiful town of Malvern and has 169 pupils on roll, including those in our Nursery provision. We make use of our amazing outdoor space in order to ensure our children take part in a range of learning opportunities.
Our school is a vibrant, friendly place where children are at the heart of everything we do. At the moment, we are leading our school development with a particular focus on a bespoke Grove curriculum and pedagogy that meets the needs of all our learners. The Assistant Head teacher will play a vital role in this development, working with a committed and long-standing team. In addition, we look forward to welcoming a new SENco who will strive to ensure that there are high expectations of all of our children. Our SEND register is currently 36%.
We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge, and developing lasting memories through authentic experiences beyond the classroom. We have engaged, friendly learners who enjoy creative and challenging learning opportunities.
If you are shortlisted for the position, the interview process will consist of a day of in-school activities with children and colleagues. If you have a successful day, you will be invited for a formal interview with colleagues, the Head teacher and Governors. I believe it is vital for candidates to visit our school in order to get a feel for what we do here. Visits are warmly welcomed either during the day when the children are in school or after school. Please contact Mrs. Nend in the school office to discuss visit times and dates.
