AHT - Teaching and Learning (if applicable)

Purpose

To lead and secure excellence in teaching, learning and curriculum across the school.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of high-quality teaching and evidence-informed pedagogy
  • Oversee curriculum design, implementation and impact
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching through coaching, observations and work scrutiny
  • Lead professional development and instructional coaching
  • Ensure effective use of assessment to inform teaching and improve outcomes
  • Drive consistency and high standards across all phases and subjects

AHT - Inclusion (if applicable)

Purpose

To lead a highly inclusive culture, ensuring that all pupils—particularly the most vulnerable—achieve and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on SEND, inclusion and equality across the school
  • Oversee provision for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils
  • Lead or contribute to safeguarding systems and culture
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour and pastoral support
  • Work closely with families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning
