AHT - Teaching and Learning (if applicable)
Purpose
To lead and secure excellence in teaching, learning and curriculum across the school.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-quality teaching and evidence-informed pedagogy
- Oversee curriculum design, implementation and impact
- Monitor and evaluate teaching through coaching, observations and work scrutiny
- Lead professional development and instructional coaching
- Ensure effective use of assessment to inform teaching and improve outcomes
- Drive consistency and high standards across all phases and subjects
AHT - Inclusion (if applicable)
Purpose
To lead a highly inclusive culture, ensuring that all pupils—particularly the most vulnerable—achieve and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Lead on SEND, inclusion and equality across the school
- Oversee provision for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils
- Lead or contribute to safeguarding systems and culture
- Monitor attendance, behaviour and pastoral support
- Work closely with families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning
