Assistant Head Teacher with Responsibility for Inclusion job summary

We are looking to appoint to the above post for as soon as possible. The role of Assistant Head Teacher for Inclusion is crucial to our vision and values. This role would suit an experienced SENCo or INCo who is looking to further develop their leadership skills within an experienced and supportive team including Inclusion expertise across the Trust. 

 

We are looking for someone who: 

•       Lives, breathes and is passionate about making inclusion a practical reality for all our pupils 

•       Enjoys both leading and being part of a team 

•       Is an effective manager of people, resources and time 

•       Has energy, ideas, positivity and is prepared to put in what it takes to ensure that all children can achieve success 

•       Likes what we do and how we do it, and has a range of skills and experience that will contribute significantly to the development of our school community 

•       An excellent classroom practitioner. 

 

At Gravel Hill we are fortunate that our families and pupils receive support from an experienced full-time Parent Support Advisor, who will also work closely with our new Assistant Head in order to support.   As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Head will be encouraged and supported to take an active role in helping to shape the future of our school so this is a really exciting opportunity for the right person.
