Assistant Head [Teaching and Learning] job summary

Lansdowne Primary Academy is part of the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership between one secondary and four primary schools located within Tilbury and Chadwell in the borough of Thurrock to the east of London.We are looking to recruit an Assistant Head of School with responsibility for Teaching and Learning.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead teaching and learning across Lansdowne Primary Academy to continue to align teaching pedagogy and assessment to achieve outstanding progress and attainment for all pupils through the seamless continuity of practice. Candidates must be able to demonstrate significant evidence in whole-school transformation leading directly to outstanding outcomes for pupils. They must be able to evidence exceptional leadership as well as exemplary practice as a classroom practitioner.

The successful candidate will be thoroughly committed to community regeneration through education; be professionally generous and be prepared to focus relentlessly on teaching, learning, the curriculum and ethos.
