Danecourt School is seeking to appoint a proactive, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable Assistant Headteacher with experience of working as a senior leader within a specialist setting.
Danecourt is a growing special school for primary aged children in Medway whose needs include complex learning, sensory, communication and behaviour . The school currently has 250 children on roll across three sites and is due to expand further over the next academic year.
The Assistant Headteacher will have incredibly high expectations and the ability, desire and determination to support the leadership team to continue to develop the school. They will also need to be a strong leader with great empathy and moral direction, leading by example the professional conduct and practice of teachers and teaching assistants to ensure and celebrate high quality continuous professional development for all.
This role would suit an existing Assistant Headteacher or leader who has a proven record as a highly effective teacher. You will have held positions of responsibility that have made a noticeable difference within your current school and must be able to offer the knowledge, skills and understanding to co-develop teaching and learning and implement a truly outstanding and aspirational curriculum to all the children attending Danecourt School.
