Are you an experienced educator ready to take the next step in your leadership career? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Head Teacher (Maternity Cover) in Key Stage 2. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for those considering progression to an Assistant Head role and is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in a leadership position. It may also offer the opportunity for secondment from a substantive role if your school were in agreement. The substantive Assistant Head Teacher leads maths across the school and experience and willingness to continue this would be advantageous.
About the Role
As the Assistant Head Teacher for KS2, you will:
- Work as part of the school’s senior leadership team in conjunction with the AHT for EYFS/KS1 to drive improvement and achieve our strategic objectives.
- Play an integral role in the day-to-day management of KS2, supporting students and staff.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Support and mentor KS2 staff in delivering an engaging and effective curriculum.
- Contribute to whole-school strategic planning and improvement initiatives.
