Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour & Inclusion
We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher to the post of Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour & Inclusion from September 2020 or earlier. The post holder will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of behaviour for learning and safeguarding across the school.
As a member of SLT, the Assistant Headteacher will play an important role in the overall leadership and management of the school. In particular, you will work closely alongside the Headteacher to lead and develop an outstanding, inclusive, comprehensive education that serves the local community.
The successful candidate will have:
the knowledge and skills to lead on behaviour for learning and safeguarding across the school;
a track record of outstanding teaching across Key Stages 3 to 4;
significant relevant experience of contributing to whole school issues;
proven ability and enthusiasm to motivate students and staff;
the ability to raise expectations and aspirations of students of all abilities.
Prendergast Vale School is an all through school, nursery to Year 11, and is part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools. It is one of the top performing mixed schools for E-Bacc in Lewisham. The school benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the Federation.
