Blackpool Gateway Academy is in Bloomfield Ward, close to Blackpool Football Club, adjacent to Seasider’s Way. It is a two-form entry school currently with 373 pupils (2 classes in each year group up to Year 6) catering for pupils from 3-11 years. In January 2018 we successfully opened our brand-new nursery which caters for 26 pupils per session.
Our passion is to develop nurture alongside the curriculum aiming for the School Council’s desire to ‘learn today for a brighter tomorrow.’

The school is a 21st century learning environment with the latest IT in all classrooms. It has a dedicated foundation stage with outdoor learning. Outside there are extensive grounds with a junior sized football pitch and newly installed play equipment. In September 2016 the school joined Fylde Coast Academy Trust and embraces the Trust’s core values of Pride, Resilience, Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Ambition. Sharing best practice between our schools is integral to our development.

The Candidate

You will be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities with a proven track record of excellence and impact in your current school. You will inspire, motivate and enthuse students and colleagues helping them to be the very best Gateway can be. You will be highly ambitious with the aim of ensuring our school goes from strength to strength.
We are looking for candidates who can make a difference with their dynamism, confidence, commitment, energy and professional expertise that qualifies them to take on this exciting and challenging role. You will have a wealth of experience in nurture and behavioural practices with a proven track record of successful outcomes in this area of school development.

The Role
This post will enhance the Senior Leadership Team of the Academy and will take a lead role in all aspects of the schools nurture, behaviour and inclusion strategies. This post will include working and leading within our nurture unit developing and leading the team as well as developing teaching and learning throughout school.
