We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking assistant headteacher, who is the right person to help lead our school on the next stage of the journey. We are seeking to employ a professional with outstanding practice and a strong dedication to working as part of a team. An individual who is committed to supporting the development of independent learning which raises the glass ceiling for all pupils in our school.
The post will begin on 1st September 2020 and is class-based with allocated management time for the role.

Substantial and current experience as a leader in a primary school
To have taken an active involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning
To have had experience of and ability to contribute to staff development across the primary range.
Successful experience of teaching in a school serving a community that is facing similar challenges
Significant teaching experience across the primary phase
Current knowledge and understanding of all 3 Key Stages in the primary phase
To be able to effectively use data, assessment and target setting to raise standards/address weaknesses
Demonstrate an understanding and awareness for the needs of the pupils at Blacko Primary School and how these could be met.
To demonstrate a clear rationale for behaviour management.
To be a leader of learning demonstrating, promoting and leading outstanding classroom practice.
