Assistant Head Teacher
Pay scale: L3-7
To Start 1st September 2022
If you aspire to be part of a forward-thinking Education Partnership; if teaching and learning is more than your profession - it is a passion too, then Boston Pioneers Free School Academy could be the next stop on your career journey, and we would be delighted to meet you!
We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher who will work as part of our dedicated staff team to help our leaners to “Reach for the stars!”
If you are seeking a role that will enable you to play a central part in the development of a new school (Pioneers opened in 2013) and help shape its curriculum model for the future, then this would be an ideal chance for you to join a likeminded senior leadership team.
We are a welcoming and innovative primary academy who are looking for an experienced senior teacher who:
o Has enthusiasm and skills to lead and develop staff across the Academy
o Is positive and creative, with a desire to make learning fun and memorable for our learners.
o Models excellence in the classroom through delivering inspiring teaching and has a successful track record of impacting positively upon student wellbeing and progress (This role will involve a 0.8 teaching commitment).
o Is excited by the opportunity to hold a position of strategic responsibility in the school for the development, implementation and impact of a core subject or another area of priority for the Academy as identified in the Academy’s Development Plan. (Ideally we are seeking to appoint a person with a maths specialism or experience in curriculum leadership).
o Has the necessary skills to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues in order to ensure the very best outcomes for our learners.
Boston Pioneers Academy and the Voyage Partnership will offer you:
o Courteous and well-behaved pupils who want to come to school and learn.
o A supportive community and a committed team of staff that are equally determined to give children the best possible opportunities
o Leadership time to support staff and to develop areas identified in the school improvement plan
o Opportunities to work with fellow leaders and teachers across the Partnership: sharing CPD opportunities, new experiences, professional discourse, and expertise.
You can find out more about the school on our website; however, a visit will “tell” you far more than any website ever can and we would welcome potential applicants to visit our academy to see our learners in action. In addition, an informal discussion with our headteacher is offered should you wish to speak with us prior to submitting an application. Please contact our senior Administrator Chloe Houlden if you would like to arrange a visit or conversation Chloe.Houlden@bostonpioneersacademy.net
