We are a rapidly growing school that has a strong community of dedicated staff who live out our vision and put the success and happiness of our students at the heart of everything we do. This is underpinned by our core values of Trust, Resilience, Excellence and Kindness.

We are delighted to share our recent Ofsted report stating North Walsham High School is a "Good" school with "Outstanding" leadership and management. Most pleasingly it states: "At North Walsham High, pupils thrive".

After the promotion of the current post holder we are seeking to appoint an inspirational full time Assistant Headteacher: Character and Culture to help continue drive the school forward and raise standards.

The successful applicant will:

The North Walsham Way (see attached) is at the heart of everything we do. The successful applicant will take on responsibility for the consistent implementation of the North Walsham Way and lead its continued evolution.

Professional development opportunities are plentiful and we are always working hard to be innovative around workload- we want you to have a balanced life and enjoy working with our children! As such, we are proud of our strong, supportive policies on feedback, reporting and behaviour for learning (including centralised detentions) which all aim to support our staff members towards this goal.

Alongside this we have a clear, evidence informed approach to teaching and learning which is supported by our Instructional Coaching programme. This is captured in the North Walsham Approach to Teaching (see attached).
