Clifford Holroyde Specialist SEN College is seeking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Headteacher join a friendly and inclusive team to support students with special educational needs. The College is committed to driving progress and standards for all students.

Clifford Holroyde is an all boy secondary school for 68 pupils and provides a very caring environment where students are supported to achieve their full potential.

Clifford Holroyde supports students who have social, emotional and mental health needs. Each student at the college is treated as an individual and has a personalised support package to meet their needs. Due to the very effective relationships and the high quality of teaching, pupils make good progress in attainment, learning and attendance compared to their previous school. Pupils are referred via the Local Authority SEN and our intake is from across the City region.

About the Role

To work as part of the Senior Leadership Team of the school to provide an outstanding education for all pupils. To undertake the professional duties of a teacher having a class commitment and will assume the responsibility for the day to day management of a Base within the school.

The Assistant Headteacher will:

 Undertake the normal responsibilities of the form teacher and subject leader.
 Assist the Headteacher in leading and managing the school
 Undertake such duties as are delegated by the Headteacher
 Play a major role under the overall direction of the Headteacher in formulating and reviewing the School Improvement Plan and the aims and objectives of the school by:
o Establishing the policies through which they shall be achieved
o Leading and managing staff and resources to that end
o Monitoring progress towards their achievement.
