What skills and experience we're looking for
The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher to join our school Trust. This is a brand-new role to support our regional hub model.
Our Trust serves a range of distinctive communities, and we are looking for an Assistant Headteacher to work across our Cornwall Hub in and around stunning region of Bude (St Mark’s C of E Academy, Marhamchurch C of E Academy and Jacobstow Community Academy). All three schools are within a 30-minute drive from each other and under 45-minutes from Launceston.
We are seeking someone who will drive our mission and beliefs so that every child has the right to live life to the full. Our School Trust is committed to improving educational outcomes for the most disadvantaged children and challenging social mobility barriers in the South West. If feel inspired by an organisation that works collectively for the benefit of all children… we could be the Trust for you!
Each of our Academies has its own clear vision and strong values which drive the curriculum offer and provides a range of experiences and opportunities, so our children’s horizons are not limited. The Trust is a Church School Trust, so you must be committed to upholding the Christian distinctiveness of the schools and developing its Christian character through the educational offer.
What the school offers its staff
We are immensely proud of our School Trust family and everything we do is underpinned by our mission and beliefs. We want to ensure that all children, families, communities, and colleagues can flourish because they have been part of our Trust. Our Academies take a collective responsibility for all children in our School Trust, and we do this by working together as a single organisation.
We are proud that our people strategy enables us to nurture, develop and support our colleagues so that they can provide the very best for our children. We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the wider communities that we serve. We champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and a sense of belonging.
Commitment to safeguarding
The Learning Academy Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS disclosures are required for this post along with the other necessary checks. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.

We are an inclusive School Trust where everything begins and ends with the children. We want to ensure that we have a profound impact on the future lives of our children so that they have choices and options which will enable them to flourish as they go through life. Quite simply, we put children first in all that we do.
We are committed to social mobility by working together as a single School Trust with a shared responsibility for all children, no matter which school they attend, including Church and community schools.
We invest in people, enabling them to flourish and ensure that every child is taught by a great teacher. Our wellbeing strategy enables us to nurture, develop and care for our colleagues so that they can provide the very best for our children
We want every child to experience an excellent curriculum which is distinctive to their community and create environments where they are cared for, inspired, challenged, and develop a love of learning.
We care passionately about children outside of our School Trust as well. We collaborate and work with other schools and School Trusts as well as being a National English Hub that specialises in early reading and phonics.
We are driven by our values and our passion is to serve our pupils, colleagues, and communities to the very best of our abilities.
