Assistant Headteacher job summary
Could you be one of our new Assistant Headteacher? We are seeking to increase the capacity of our Leadership team by two so we can drive improvement in a number of key areas. You may already be in a senior leadership position, or you may be an experienced leader in a particular area, with a proven track-record of success, who is ready to have a whole school impact. Our next senior leaders will be able to lead on improving outcomes and be able to use their experience to focus on the academic monitoring and achievement of pupils. The exact responsibilities will be determined on the strengths of the successful candidate, experienced practitioners in pastoral or curriculum areas are welcome to apply.
As the newest members of our team, you will be learning what it truly means to be a leader from an inspirational team with a history of leading outstanding provision at our school and transforming underperforming schools.
Our new Assistant Headteacher will, of course, be an exceptional teacher in their own right. A leader cannot credibly evaluate the performance of others without having an incisive knowledge of ‘what works’ in the classroom themselves. They will share our relentless drive for improvement, using the latest research to further improve the daily classroom experience of our pupils.
