What skills and experience we're looking for
Specific Responsibilities
- To develop a clear three year digital strategy cycle
- To chair a Digital Strategy Group including IT Lead, Teaching and Learning Lead, Curriculum Lead and Business Manager
- To develop and coordinate delivery of a programme for staff development on use of Office 365 and maximising technology as a sustainable teaching and learning resource
- To build a programme for the use of devices in lessons, including overcoming accessibility issues, cost and internal infrastructure
- To create a structure for staff to maximise the infrastructure of Office 365 and build digital classrooms
- To present the strategy and its progress to trustees via the Student Learning Committee
- To lead a digital teaching and learning group to support the innovation and sharing of best practice for the use of technology in learning in line with school priorities
- To work with the Headteacher and Business Manager in developing any proposals and bids submissions to support National Cyber awards
- To work with outside agencies to support the digital strategy and develop strong partnerships
- To line manage the IT Network Team
- Ensure planning and budgeting supports the development of technology as a learning and communication tool through to execution
- To ensure the computing hardware and the school network is organised to meet the learning and administrative aims of the school
- To ensure the school is resilient to potential future cyber threats and lead the management of risks associated with the use of technology.
- To lead the Computing curriculum and undertake the responsibilities of the Curriculum Team Leader
- Teach to A Level Computing and responsibilities for all Key Stages
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team the Assistant Head: Technology and Digital Strategy Lead will be fully committed to the aims, objectives, ambitions and ethos of the School.
