We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and exceptional leader with a proven track record of raising attainment, to drive the English curriculum and student performance across the secondary provision of Cockburn Multi-academy Trust.

Essential skills and experience

Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders
Ability to make and implement difficult decisions
Implements an improvement plan across a key stage area or class room, identifying the priorities and evaluating the impact
Works with and motivates teams and individuals to implement changes across the school
Being an excellent teacher
Knowledge of how to use data to monitor student progress
Knowledge of assessment tools to monitor English
Ability to identify effective interventions to ensure students make progress
Ability to identify excellent classroom practice to enable teachers to improve, through effective feedback
Regularly reviews own practice and continually participates in quality CPD
Ability to coach and mentor staff
Holds people to account for what they have agreed to deliver
Works effectively with the governing body to fulfil statutory duties
Provides performance data to parents, governors and school improvement officers
