What skills and experience we're looking for
Middlestown Primary Academy are looking to appoint an outstanding Upper Foundation teacher who will lead our EYFS team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and aspirational Early Years teacher to join our school team. The school’s new EYFS lead will work across the EYFS setting as well as being a member of the leadership team as Assistant Headteacher. This is an opportunity to work with an excellent leadership to continue to strive for excellence.
Middlestown Primary Academy is an Ofsted ‘good’ rated primary/infant academy with great facilities and fantastic staff. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking, ambitious team in a welcoming, friendly school.
The role invites current, and experienced Upper Foundation teachers who are ready for a more senior role or a current, dedicated EYFS leader who would like to expand their experience in a successful EYFS setting.
You will be dedicated to ensuring that all our children receive the very best early years education both within and beyond their classrooms. You will have a good understanding of how early childhood development occurs and what role an EYFS setting can play in that development.
The successful candidate will be managing the progression of the EYFS phase and working with colleagues at our other Trust schools. You will be leading curriculum and pupil developments and sharing creative and inspirational ideas in order to continue the outstanding practice already in place (identified at our recent Ofsted inspection).
We are looking to appoint an Early Years Leader with the skills to motivate those around them, with an inclusive approach to teaching. You will be able to demonstrate your determination and drive to make sure all your pupils are actively involved in their learning and are guided and supported well, to ensure they become the best they can be.
The Assistant Headteacher (Early Years Foundation Stage Leader) role presents a unique opportunity for an Early Years Specialist to play a key role in the development of our Early years Foundation Unit.
We offer an extensive programme of academy and Trust professional development to ensure all colleagues continue to develop as practitioners and have opportunities to work collaboratively across subjects and across academies within our Trust.
This role will involve close working with the Senior Leadership Team, and you will also be expected to contribute to school developments and lead by example, teaching to a high standard. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with parents and families are essential in this key role in our school.
