Job summary

The Governing Body of East Ward Community Primary School is seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with excellent interpersonal skills, personal presence and authority. This is an opportunity for an experienced teacher to further develop their leadership skills in a supportive and caring environment and makes an ideal steppingstone to a long-term leadership career.

The successful candidate will be creative, proactive and able to take the initiative in the strategic development of the school. S/he will be confident in a wide range of settings and with various groups of people and will have personal warmth and a keen sense of humour. S/he will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be highly resilient, and possess high levels of energy and commitment.
