Further details about the role

Due to the promotion of our Assistant Headteacher, Little Bowden are looking for an Assistant Headteacher to start in September 2024.

A good Assistant Headteacher is essential for any school team, working alongside the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to lead the development of the school, managing day-to-day business, and ensuring pupils are safe and enjoying an extraordinary education.

At Little Bowden Primary School, we are fully committed to providing an inclusive, stimulating and caring environment suited to the needs and capabilities of all our children. We want you to bring your experience, skills, and dedication to support and develop this commitment.

Working closely with the headteacher and staff team to promote the vision and ethos of the school, you will have the opportunity to express yourself and introduce new ideas to shape its future. You’ll lead a team of people who are dedicated to ensuring pupils with SEND, or pupils who require pastoral support, get the best provision possible to enable them to make progress and develop key strategies and techniques to support their emotional development.

Little Bowden’s school environment is vibrant; a place where you must be adaptable in your thinking and flexible in your approach.

We know you’ll want to see our lovely school in action. The Headteacher will be doing tours of the school on the following days and times:

  • Tuesday 4th June – Between 11am and 1pm
  • Wednesday 5th June – Between 1pm and 4pm
  • Friday 6th June – Between 1pm and 4pm

Commitment to safeguarding

Little Bowden is committed to safeguarding and to promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
