Assistant Headteacher - Head of new SEMH unit (Cody Oaks) job summary
Samuel Cody School is delighted to announce the opening of its brand new purposely designed SEMH unit, Cody Oaks, in September 2022. The Headteacher is seeking to recruit an experienced leader to help deliver an outstanding and inclusive education for children with SEMH needs and associated difficulties. The new unit is an impressive addition to an already well-resourced school site, and provides a unique opportunity in the north of the county. The unit will eventually house ninety students, from year 5 to year 11, but will grow over three years to capacity. This is a great opportunity for someone with SEMH experience and good strong leadership skills to make a difference to our brand new cohort of students.
Working with the Headteacher you will actively contribute to the overall Leadership and Management of the unit and its staff team, providing a curriculum that supports learning in a safe and inclusive environment, promoting respect, honesty, communication and teamwork, and maintaining a good presence around the building throughout the day. See full job description for more information.
