Assistant Headteacher – Head of Sixth Form job summary

The Assistant Headteacher will take a strategic lead in developing and evaluating pastoral care and support for students in the Sixth Form and will have accountability for year group Attendance, Punctuality and Behaviour. The successful candidate will promote positive attainment outcomes of students through the provision and model excellence and professional standards to ensure that high standards and aspirations are maintained.
Candidates should:
Be fully supportive of the School’s Catholic ethos with an ability to lead the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of students.
Have experience of monitoring student progress and implementing interventions to ensure that all Sixth Form students attain and achieve to the best of their ability.
Have a clear vision for the role, with demonstrable experience in providing an environment where excellence and professional standards are modelled within an educational setting.
Have good interpersonal and presentational skills.
Be forward thinking, inspirational, receptive to change and able to work under pressure.
