What skills and experience we're looking for
The main duties and responsibilities of this post include:
· Leadership of behaviour systems and routines.
- Leadership of whole school use of the Classcharts app.
- Leadership of student attendance and punctuality (Years 7 – 11)
- Leadership of student leadership.
- Collaboration with local authority and local schools regarding behaviour and attendance.
- Contribution to safeguarding, emotional wellbeing and personal development of the students.
· Teaching of all aspects of their subject specialism.
The successful candidate should:
- Be an excellent teacher and ‘team player’.
- Have a genuine respect for young people.
- Have the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students.
- Contribute actively to the policies and aspirations of the school
- Have personal ambition and the capacity for hard work.
- Have a proven record of success in leading a team.

South Craven School, supported by South Craven Academy Trust since May 2011, is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school situated in a semi-rural location on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with easy access to Leeds, Bradford and Greater Manchester.
