Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion job summary

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly motivated and inspirational Assistant Headteacher. This role is an addition to our senior leadership team which reflects our commitment to inclusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership of our inclusive provision, ensuring that our young people’s needs are recognised, and they are fully supported in accessing their learning.

You will have a passion for delivering enhanced experiences and improved outcomes for students with additional and special educational needs,

You will work closely with the SENDCo to deliver a curriculum which meets the needs of our students who find school a challenge. As a senior leader, you will be prepared to take your share of line management and duties across the school.

You need to:

Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership and managerial skills

Have the ability to relate to and communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and other professionals

Have a strong commitment to innovative pastoral development, student support and staff development

Be able to demonstrate how your work has had a significant impact on the whole school as part of a team

Be well organised, hardworking and enthusiastic

Be an exceptional teacher with proven success of delivering excellent outcomes for students with SEND and all groups of students

Be able to support and challenge, hold colleagues to account and deliver excellent outcomes
