The Role:

In your role as Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and SEND, you will significantly influence the educational journey of all students, with a special emphasis on those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and mental health and wellbeing needs. You will collaborate closely with our SENDCo and Inclusion Manager to lead our school’s inclusion practices.

Your role will involve managing and enhancing interventions to effectively re-engage and support targeted students, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and guidance to thrive. You will be part of a supportive, ambitious, and ethically-driven leadership team, dedicated to placing students’ best interests at the forefront of every decision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the strategic direction for SEND and inclusion within the school.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Inclusion and SEND provision and interventions.
  • Inspire and challenge the school community to achieve excellence in education.
