We are pleased to share the exciting opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher position at Stone Lodge School.

The school opened in 2019 and has seen rapid growth and now has over 1000 students. We moved into a brand-new building in 2022. The school is heavily oversubscribed and serves the needs of its local communities, with a very local catchment area. Following a strong Ofsted inspection in October 2023, followed by a successful first set of GCSE and post 16 results.

The new Assistant Headteacher will be responsible for promoting a truly inclusive culture at Stone Lodge School in which all students are able to achieve excellence in terms of students’ behaviour, attitudes and wider personal development with SEND provision being of the highest quality. We believe in the importance of maintaining impeccable behaviour where teachers can teach and students can focus on learning, free from distractions. We explicitly teach behaviour and routines to maintain a culture of high expectations through a warm/strict approach.

Commitment to safeguarding

At Stone Lodge our approach to safeguarding is child-centred and we consider at all times the best interest of the child.
We have a designated safeguarding lead, who provides support to staff members to carry out their safeguarding duties and liaises with other agencies such as children’s social care.
Mr Barnett is also a safeguarding lead and regular meetings are held to discuss any ongoing safeguarding or welfare concerns.
All staff members receive safeguarding and child protection training which is regularly updated.
