Assistant Headteacher KS2 job summary
At Gaywood Primary School due to the promotion of one of our existing Assistant Headteacher’s we are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for KS2.
This is a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic leader who has incredibly high expectations of children’s learning and a clear understanding of assessment at all levels. The successful candidate will positively promote inclusion, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all children and have a commitment to raising pupils’ expectations and achievement.
We are looking for an exceptional teacher able to communicate their passion for learning to all stakeholders. A high quality, effective leader who inspires others and has a proven track record of school improvement and raising standards in core subjects who is also proficient in the use of data and assessment to promote and accelerate pupil progress. Someone who has an innovative outlook and a commitment to the role, who has a clear ambition, determination and who will be fully involved in the life of the school. This is a full-time, permanent role that involves a teaching responsibility of two days.

Gaywood Primary School is a two-form entry school that caters for children from the age of four to eleven years of age. At present, there are 417 children on roll.
We have fantastic facilities including a large field, playgrounds, library, music rooms and classrooms with working walls and corridors with wall art that supports children's learning. Our EYFS outdoor area is stunning and vibrant supporting our youngest children in developing the whole child and our library is stocked with the latest books to tempt and inspire our young children to love reading.
Our aim is to provide a warm, friendly, atmosphere in a safe, caring environment where children will be happy and successful.
To achieve this, it is important that the school and homework together in partnership. This partnership is built through a regular dialogue between parents, child and school.
