The Assistant Headteacher KS5 is a key post in the school. The role is supported by a Head of Year 12 and a Head of Year 13 as well as by a non-teaching Assistant Year Coordinator and a number of other dedicated support staff.
The Assistant Headteacher KS5 will be a key contributor to the drive to ensure that teaching in our school is never less than good and that increasing numbers of lessons are judged to be outstanding. Our 2012 Ofsted inspection, in which we were judged as outstanding in all 5 categories, referred to “a relentless pursuit of excellence” and the students’ “outstanding academic progress”; the role of Assistant Headteacher KS5 is central to ensuring that our track record of sustained high standards continues. The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner who is able to lead by example, to inspire others and to bring about real and meaningful improvements.
