Leadership Range L12 to L16 (£55,338-£61,166)
Are you passionate about inspiring and supporting students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally, and eager to find an opportunity to accomplish this impact on a school wide basis? If so, we want to hear from you.
Following a leadership review the opportunity exists for a suitably experienced, inspirational professional to spearhead our drive to ensure that all our students with additional needs access high quality teaching and learning and that all of our students maintain excellent attendance as standard.
From the start of the Summer term, or September 2022 for the right candidate, you will strategically lead highly motivated and capable colleagues who are committed to supporting our students both academically and pastorally. You will be willing to undertake aspects of the role of SENDCo in partnership with our experienced SENDCo who is reducing their hours. Our teaching and support staff are skilled, professional and committed to working with young people to ensure the delivery of aspirational, accessible and inclusive curricula; and high quality teaching and learning and pastoral care. Purposeful and relevant interventions to support students with barriers to attendance and learning are delivered to provide strong foundations upon which all students can build. You will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a warm professional rapport and a genuine empathy for students’ needs.
Northgate is an 11-18 school with first rate facilities situated on the edge of Ipswich. Following Ofsted’s November 2019 inspection under the new framework, we remain a ‘Good’ school. Ofsted noted “pupils enjoy coming to this school” and that “they achieve well in GCSE and A level examinations”. Ofsted also noted that “staff are proud to work at this school”. We value our staff highly and, if you join us, you will be working in a school that is committed to staff wellbeing, offers a first class professional development programme and maintains positive links with local schools and universities.
