Overview of the role:
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to be responsible for:
• Carrying out the duties of this post in line with the remit outlined in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document including the conditions of the Academy’s own policy
• Assisting the Headteacher and Deputy Headteachers in the organisation, management and development of the school
• Carrying out teaching duties as required
• To assume responsibilities of the Deputy Headteachers in their absence
• Lead a phase and or curriculum subject as part of the teaching and learning team.
• For promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people across the school
• Delivering training and support within your school and to other schools across the Trust
• Promoting best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the school
• Leading school improvement in an agreed area
• Oversee the planning, progress and attainment of pupils within your phase across the school within the subject you will lead
• Leading by example as an outstanding classroom practitioner
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
· Experience of leading school improvement in a specified area across the whole school
· Experience in working with children with SEND
· Experience of managing a team of staff
· Demonstrable track record of excellent teaching practice
· Experience of leading training of other teachers
· Experience of setting targets and monitoring, evaluating and recording progress
· Strong knowledge and understanding of current developments
· in teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum
· Ability to contribute effectively to the management,
· organisation and running of the school.
· Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of school aims, objectives, procedures, policies and practices.
· Ability to manage staff and resources in specific areas.
· Ability to innovate, inspire and motivate other staff.
The postholder will be part of our teaching and learning function of the school and play a large part in delivering a high-quality education to the learners that attend our schools.
