What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher who will specialise in Maths to join our dedicated team at the University Collegiate School, Bolton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our pupils and drive forward our Maths provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a high-quality Maths curriculum
- Provide expert guidance and support to teachers in delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons
- Mentor and support Early Career Teachers in developing their Maths teaching practice
- Analyse pupil data and assessment information to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions
- Collaborate with the wider leadership team to ensure a whole-school approach to Maths teaching and learning
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school as a member of the senior leadership team
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Significant experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Substantial experience teaching Maths, including at KS5 level
- Proven track record of driving improvements in Maths outcomes
- Excellent knowledge of the Maths curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate both pupils and staff
