Assistant Headteacher job summary
We have a vacancy for an Assistant Headteacher for January 2023, following relocation of our current post holder. This is permanent position. Full time

The children, staff and governors at Meridian Primary are looking for the next inspiring Assistant Headteacher to join our journey to excellence.
This position is does not have the responsibility of a full time class
We are looking for someone who:
- has high personal and professional standards and can demonstrate good leadership, management organisation and prioritise effectively
- has knowledge and experience of working successfully with children across year groups and key stages
- has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues, pupils and parents to provide the very best for our children’s needs and school
- is committed to providing quality pastoral care and involved in the emotional well-being of pupils and staff
- is an excellent and highly literate communicator – able to support in reviewing and writing school policies
- is committed to contributing to the wider aspects of the school
- can lead/ oversee some areas within the school e.g.; phase leader KS1; ECT programme; pupil premium; safeguarding; assessment
- demonstrates good behaviour management
- who is able to cover some classes to support PPA on a regular basis
We are also advertising for a SENDCo and mental Health Lead and this position could be a combined new full time role.
This position could be for experienced practitioners or those aspiring into their next phase of leadership.
