We are a close-knit and caring school, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Winchcombe itself is an attractive small historic town approximately 7 miles from Cheltenham Spa and with regular bus links.
Our students’ attitudes to learning are positive and they participate willingly and with interest in school life. We are a vibrant and forward-thinking school with well-established community links and strong partnerships with parents. The School is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted (March 2022) and has celebrated excellent GCSE results over the past couple of years.
Our staff also enjoy being part of a supportive community and feel valued for the part they play in the school; we currently have around 70 members of staff in leadership, teaching, support, pastoral, admin and premises roles.
Staff Professional Development and Welfare: Our Senior Leadership Team is committed to supporting professional development and where budget allows, will endeavour to fund training courses which will help staff to complete their job in a more effective manner. Our links to Balcarras and Leckhampton Schools enable teaching staff to collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to share best practice.
