• Pastoral experience - the post holder will be our Designated Safeguarding Lead and designated teacher for looked-after children
• Ability to oversee Pupil Premium funding to best support progress of disadvantaged students
• Effectively coordinate educational visits to enhance students' learning experiences.

Winchcombe School (part of the Balcarras Trust) is a successful and thriving comprehensive academy for students aged 11 to 16 years. We are a close-knit and caring school, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Winchcombe itself is an attractive small historic town approximately 7 miles from Cheltenham Spa and with regular bus links.

Our students’ attitudes to learning are positive and they participate willingly and with interest in school life. We are a vibrant and forward-thinking school with well-established community links and strong partnerships with parents. The School is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted (March 2022) and has celebrated excellent GCSE results over the past couple of years.
