What skills and experience we're looking for
Teaching experience of at least 5 years within
the primary age range
Experience of teaching in at least 2 age ranges from Foundation, KS1 and KS2
Good understanding of the curriculum
Experience of leading a curriculum area
Designated Safeguarding Lead experience (incl Trauma Informed Practice)
Significant experience of assessment, data analysis, target setting and strategies that have contributed to raising attainment
Proven experience of leading staff development
Experience in acting as a team leader in performance management
Coaching Experience
Understanding of high-quality teaching and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve
A clear philosophy of primary education and understanding of how children learn and the science of learning
Understanding of school finances
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate a vision and inspire others
Ability to build effective working relationships
Ability to balance teaching with leadership and management responsibilities
Leads by example
Demonstrated optimism and the school values
