We have the following vacancy:
ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER (permanent post)
Leadership scale: L11-15

Required for September 2021; we have an excellent opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to join our school and strengthen the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The successful candidate will lead our pastoral system and will be involved in all aspects of whole school improvement work.

The effectiveness of our pastoral system provides the foundation for effective teaching and learning throughout the school therefore this is a crucial role in our school. The successful candidate will oversee the work of each year group (Y7-11) working closely with the respective Pastoral Leader/Pastoral Manager teams. You will also have oversight and responsibility for the PSHE and RSE curriculum.

Our students make our school a special place to work; they are enthusiastic, talented and motivated to do well. We want the best for them and are looking to appoint a colleague who will add value to our school and support us in the drive to become truly outstanding.

Welcome to Ponteland High School: our overriding aim is to build a school where all of our students are happy, feel safe and achieve exceptionally well.

We are delighted to have converted to an 11-18 secondary school in September 2019 and excited about moving in to a state of the art building from September 2020. We know that our students will benefit greatly from being within our school from Year 7 and this will support them, in achieving exceptionally well as they progress to GCSE and beyond.
