Assistant Headteacher- Quality of Education job summary
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and visionary Assistant Headteacher who will lead on Quality of Education. The successful candidate will inspire and motivate colleagues and pupils to be the very best they can be. This role is crucial in strengthening the Senior Leadership Team and improving performance across the school.
The Assistant Headteacher will undertake the normal responsibilities of a teacher and be a key member of the senior leadership team. They will work alongside the Headteacher to define, articulate, and implement the school’s vision and values. Additionally, the Assistant Headteacher will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team, SENCo, parents, Governors, and external agencies to improve, maintain, and monitor high standards of education across the school. Flexibility is essential for all members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the most effective organisation and delivery of learning.
In a profession that is constantly evolving, the ideal candidate will be resilient and flexible, able to adapt with confidence and integrity. They will be a clear and effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting teams. Most importantly, they will model the behaviours and attitudes expected from our students—leading by example and continuously striving to improve their own practice and that of others.

About the School:
The Rural Enterprise Academy is based in a rural setting where pupils have access to a range of high-quality facilities as well as the great outdoors.
We are a small school with only two classes of 30 students per year from Year 7 to Year 11. Our research-based approach to teaching and learning, we believe that each and every pupil has the Ability to excel regardless of their starting points.
