Assistant Headteacher – Raising Standards job summary
We wish to appoint an experienced teacher to the post of Assistant Headteacher – Raising Standards from September 2021. This post is offered on a fixed term contract to cover the substantive post holder’s maternity leave.
The postholder will be responsible for raising standards across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will lead on the moderation and analysis of assessment data across the school. You will ensure that data is robust and used to support impact across the school, through high quality teaching and learning and targeted intervention.
As a member of SLT, the Assistant Headteacher will play an important role in the overall leadership and management of the school. In particular, you will work closely alongside the Head of School and Executive Headteacher to lead and develop an outstanding, inclusive, comprehensive education that serves the local community.
The successful candidate will have:
• a passion for inclusive education;
• the knowledge and skills to raise attainment at Key Stage 3 and 4;
• experience of performance and assessment;
• a track record of outstanding teaching;
• significant relevant experience of contributing to whole school issues;
• proven ability and enthusiasm to motivate students and staff;
• the ability to raise expectations and aspirations of students of all abilities.
The school is part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools; you will have the opportunity to work with forward thinking school leadership and Federation teams, and access to a rich and varied CPD programme within the school and across the Federation. The Federation supports school leaders in obtaining the National Professional Qualfications such as the NPQSL and NPQH.
