What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a passionate and positive professional to join our senior leadership team as an Assistant Headteacher. We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher who:
- Has a proven track record of raising attainment, either as a teacher or leader;
- Is an excellent teacher;
- Will be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and is DSL trained or willing to complete the training as soon as possible;
- Is an excellent communicator with children, colleagues, and families;
- Has high expectations of all children;
- Has unconditional positive regard for all children and believes in a relational approach to behaviour;
- Is committed to ensuring that every child excels;
- Has a commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues, families, governors, and outside agencies;
- Can lead, support, and motivate other members of staff;
- Has middle or senior leadership experience;
- Has excellent organisational skills;
- Has a sense of humour and will add to our happy, thriving culture;
- Is passionate about inclusion and committed to supporting all children to reach their unique potential;
- Forms strong relationships with adults and children;
- Relishes challenge, contributing fully to the life of the school community.
