Assistant Headteacher

To provide strategic leadership across the school for a significant area of responsibility.
Salary: Leadership Pay Range: L6-L10 (£46,116 - £50,935)

Rokeby Park Primary School wish to recruit an Assistant Headteacher, to provide strategic leadership across the school for a significant area of responsibility. Depending on the experience of the candidate the area of responsibility will be either Personal Development and Behaviour and Attitudes or SEND and Inclusion.

In addition to the successful candidate’s teaching responsibilities, the role will involve:
- Contributing fully to the overall leadership and effectiveness of the school.
- Ensuring the strategic leadership of the school is highly effective.
- Ensuring pupils are in receipt of appropriate provision, including necessary intervention programmes based on an analysis of need, to accelerate their progress and ensure they are able to fully participate in the life of the school.
- Line managing support staff to ensure they are deployed effectively throughout the school to meet pupils’ needs.
- Holding staff to account to ensure there is high quality provision for all groups of underperforming pupils.
- Monitoring provision and tracking progress to ensure it is effective in raising achievement.
- Reporting to the SLT and Governors, using clear and accurate data analysis, to ensure the school budget is deployed effectively to raise standards for all groups of pupils.

The successful candidate will:
- Have recent, relevant senior leadership experience.
- Be an outstanding teacher with a proven record of raising standards.
- Be able to demonstrate proven leadership skills and significant impact at a whole school level.
- Have excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Be committed to meeting the needs of all pupils, including those from disadvantaged and SEN backgrounds.
- Be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence.
