What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to help lead our staff and students in the next stage of our development. To be successful, you must have an expert knowledge of the process of learning in a secondary school or all-through school environment, coupled with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. You will have a desire to progress further in your career, and the ability to make a difference. You will also value collaborative working as part of a large all-through Academy and Multi-Academy Trust.

What the school offers its staff

OFSTED inspected the Academy in June 2022 and judged the school to be GOOD with Leadership and Management, Personal Development and Sixth- form Provision graded OUTSTANDING.

The Academy has a clear vision and ethos which has led to outstanding results and is the school of choice for local parents. Key to success is a relentless focus on high quality teaching and learning and a flexible and innovative curriculum enabling learners to follow individualised pathways to suit their abilities and aspirations. Our specialisms are English and Digital Technologies, and as an Apple Distinguished School and the Regional Training Centre for Apple in Hertfordshire, we have innovative use of iPad technology across the school. There are excellent facilities for both staff and students.

We offer an innovative induction and professional development programme, recognising that our staff are the key to our success. You will benefit from supportive colleagues, enthusiastic students and excellent facilities and resources.

Our vision for our school is to produce responsible young people of whom we can all be proud and who are prepared to make a contribution to their local, national and global communities. If you feel that you have the qualities to help lead such an organisation and can meet our expectations, then we look forward to receiving your application!
