What skills and experience we're looking for

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for the school to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to work in partnership with the present Headteacher and fantastic teaching team at Chew Magna Primary School. This is an incredibly rewarding role, where you can make a real difference to some of our children’s lives. This is the ideal step for those looking to progress into a leadership role.

Main responsibilities include:

o Leadership - to be responsible for the operational day-to-day running and management of the school

o SENDCO - provide strategic leadership of the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities

o Safeguarding – be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the school

o Curriculum and Teaching – 0.8 Y1/2 class teacher teaching commitment
