Assistant Headteacher/SENDco job summary
The Assistant Head Teacher will take a central role in assisting the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and Governing Body to develop our school in accordance with its shared values and our school development plans.
Ancora House School seek to recruit a qualified SENDCo to take up the role of Assistant Headteacher to lead on inclusion and SEND in our community Hub provision.

Ancora House School is an Outstanding school designated as a Medical Pupil Referral Unit; the school has two sites; the first is the in-patient unit based at the Countess of Chester Hospital Park; the second is our community Hub based in Castle House, Castle Park, Frodsham.
The in-patient unit supports up to 30 young people who are admitted the adolescent psychiatric unit, they are aged between 13 and 18 years old, young people can come from anywhere in the UK.
The Hub supports up to 20 learners in Cheshire West and Chester who cannot attend school due to their physical or mental health problem; learners remain on dual roll with their home school with the aim for them to return there as soon as they are well enough.
