We have a unique and exciting opportunity within Mangotsfield School to help shape a strong and forward thinking SEND team which provides excellent provision for our most vulnerable learners . There has been significant recent investment into the structure and resourcing of the SEND team and we are in a period of transformation. You would be joining at a time where you will have a pivotal role in shaping this provision.
About the role
Your role is vital for shaping and leading the SEND provision, playing a critical role in enabling the school to achieve and sustain high quality education for our most vulnerable students. You’ll work at both a strategic and operational level with the School Leadership Team and under the direction of the Assistant Director of SEND. This is a varied and interesting role, from devising learning and behaviour strategies to managing legal responsibilities. You’ll build positive relationships with staff, governors, parents and external professionals in order to be able to effectively meet the needs of each student. The salary range for this role is L11-15.
About you
You will be an inspirational and dynamic leader who has developed strong leadership skills and can demonstrate the ability to instil a purposeful and positive ethos. You will have a compelling personal presence, emotional intelligence and demonstrable commitment to your own CPD. You’ll be an exceptional communicator and able to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. A well organised, self starter who is confident in identifying and implementing change. You will need to have had significant experience of middle leadership and whole school responsibilities with a demonstrable track record of successfully raising standards of groups of students.
