Assistant Headteacher job summary
We have recently been awarded an Ofsted “Good” rating in all areas of the school and are now working toward becoming an outstanding school. To join us in that journey, we are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to join our friendly and hard working team on a two term contract from the 01.1.25 - 31.8.25 with a possible permanent role to follow.
The Assistant Head works with the Executive Headteacher, Head of School and members of the leadership team to assist in the leadership, organisation and management of the school. This is a non-class based role.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Raising the quality of teaching, learning and curriculum provision across the school
- Supporting and developing teachers to become excellent teachers
- The leadership, management and organisation of key aspects of provision
- Leading performance management to raise standards of teaching and learning throughout the school
- Leading at least one core subject area
- A member of the school leadership team
- Taking responsibility for the school in the absence of the Executive Headteacher and/or Head of School.
