Assistant Headteacher job summary

The Governing Body of Sunny Bank Primary School is seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with a proven track record of quality-first teaching, excellent interpersonal skills, personal presence and authority. This is an opportunity for an experienced teacher to further develop their leadership skills in a supportive environment with incredible children. The successful candidate will be proactive, have high professional thresholds and able to take the initiative in the strategic development of the school. They will be confident in a wide range of settings; with various groups of people and will have personal warmth and a sense of humour. They will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be highly resilient, and possess high levels of energy and commitment.
This is a full time, permanent role with 0.8 teaching responsibility within the salary band L1 – L5 (£42,195 - £46,566 per annum).
