Assistant Headteacher job summary

The Headteacher wishes to appoint a dynamic Assistant Headteacher, with proven leadership and management skills, to join our highly effective Leadership Team. The post has become available as the current post holder is relocating abroad to be with family. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring high quality leadership provision for the school.

Candidates must either already hold a Senior Management post or have had significant experience at a senior level either within or across a number of schools. Candidates should be have real experience and evidence of raising standards across a cohort of young people at Key Stage 4 and preferably Post 16. The post will carry specific responsibilities dependant on the experience of the candidate. These will be areas that will benefit the team and the school and will be discussed with candidates during the interview process. This post will provide an ideal opportunity for preparation for Deputy Headship.
