The Charter School East Dulwich serves a diverse community in South East London. Our students are from a truly comprehensive range of socio-economic, racial, religious and gender backgrounds. We strive to be a community where difference is respected, valued and demonstrated in daily life through our core values of Curiosity, Creativity, Care and Courage. As an inclusive and diverse community, we value and actively encourage applications from staff from sectors of society that are currently under-represented in the education sector.
As part of The Charter Schools Educational Trust, we are founded on the conviction that all children deserve the opportunity to succeed, whatever their start in life or personal circumstances. We are a school at the heart of our community: a place where children walk to school together and where friendships, between students and between parents, grow stronger as a result of daily contact in and outside of the classroom. We teach our students to be curious, creative, confident, courageous and caring. They will leave us fully able to participate in our democratic society and prepared to meet the challenges and to harvest the opportunities of life in the 21st century.
The Charter School East Dulwich is a special place to work. We are committed to finding teachers with the energy, enthusiasm and expertise to inspire our students and enliven our community. As Head of PE you would work with an award winning team in one of the most successful schools in Southwark. We offer a dynamic professional learning environment, where teachers are given ongoing opportunities to develop their practice. We are looking for a colleague who:
● Has excellent experience in Sixth Form provision with the ability to lead and work with a range of external and internal stakeholders to provide the best for our school.
● Consistently models excellent practice both inside and outside the classroom, having staff and students' progress and wellbeing at the core of their professional motivation
● Wants an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant, diverse and growing organisation.
● Can make a significant contribution to a dynamic, successful leadership team in order to make a difference to the lives of our young people.
In return, you will get:
● The chance to work with well qualified and motivated Sixth Form team
● The opportunity to work with colleagues from across a diverse and growing Trust including the Sixth Form Team at the outstanding Charter School North Dulwich.
