Assistant Headteacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, creative and committed Assistant Head as an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Due to the resignation of one of our very experienced Assistant Heads, we are looking to appoint an exceptional leader to join our dynamic Senior Leadership Team to move the academy forward.
We are particularly seeking candidates who can offer experience and a skill set to lead / contribute to the strategic direction of student progress and/or student pastoral. As a result applicants will need to either demonstrate their ability and experience to analyse data and have an impact on student achievement and progress, or demonstrate their contribution to the pastoral system and their positive impact on students’ pastoral needs, including behaviour and well-being. Experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead would be advantageous.
Applicants must have a strong academic track record, experience of effective management, the ability to lead and be capable of building good working relationships with staff, students and parents. The role will suit an experienced middle manager seeking an opportunity for professional development or someone already experienced at senior level.
As this is a senior position it carries a reduced teaching timetable. Please state your teaching subject specialism in your application.
