Are you an outstanding teacher and leader looking to develop your experience and professional career? We have an exciting opportunity for you to do this at Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School – a leading school in the city of Liverpool.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a person with vision, drive and a proven record of successful teaching and learning, curriculum development, quality assurance and leading change to be part of the Senior Leadership Team as an Assistant Headteacher.

The precise responsibilities will be agreed upon appointment but the successful postholder will be expected to:

  • Ensure that the school is inclusive and that all students have the opportunity to reach the highest possible standards through the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Ensure that an appropriate curriculum is planned and delivered to each student, to allow them to achieve their full potential.
  • Lead high quality and evidence based CPD for all staff.
  • Lead and evaluate quality assurance and monitoring processes.
  • Provide leadership and line management to middle leadership.
  • Work with the Governing Body and other stakeholders to ensure the school’s vision is clearly articulated, shared, understood and translated into real and effective action by all.
